4 – Karen Khachanov at the 2019 Australian Open

Karen Khachanov finished the 2018 ATP Tour with his first Masters title in Paris where he beat Novak Djokovic in the final. He is the 10th seed at the Australian Open this year and will play Peter Gojowczyk in the first round.

The young Russian has never been past the second round at the Australian Open. He should do that comfortably this year. He’s in the same section of the draw as Cilic which should be a good match if they both make the fourth round. Read more about Khachanov’s ability to have an impact on not just the upcoming grand slam, but the entire 2019 ATP Tour here.
