Women’s singles qualifying action is underway at the 2019 Miami Open and Eugenie Bouchard finds herself ousted early on… The Canadian tennis player has seen ups and downs on the WTA Tour in the last year but came into Miami as the second seed in women’s singles qualifying. Taking on Nao Hibino of Japan, she finds herself on the wrong side of her opening match results. Hibino takes their meeting in three sets, winning 4-6, 6-0, 6-4.
It looked as though everything was going Bouchard’s way after she won the first set. Her unseeded opponent, however, roars back to dominate the final two sets. Genie might be gone from the tournament action, but she made the most of her time in Miami.
HERE, the Canadian tennis player takes to the practice courts and shares a photo with fans via her Instagram account. Bouchard loved the colors of the court and was not shy about sharing the rest of her time around the city this past week.
