Australian tennis star Ashleigh Barty continues her impressive stretch of tennis at the Miami Open. She reaches the finals this weekend.

The finals in women’s singles at the 2019 Miami Open is an almost impossible one to predict. We see rising Australian tennis star Ashleigh Barty taking on former world number one Karolína Plíšková. These two have split their previous four meetings on the WTA Tour and have made for a fantastic finish in Miami.

Plíšková is the fifth seed this year at the Miami Open and Barty is the 12th seed. Barty is also into the semifinals in women’s doubles alongside partner Victoria Azarenka.

So who’s taking the title in women’s singles this year in Miami? We’ve put Barty on our list of FIVE SLEEPER TENNIS PLAYERS ON THE 2019 WTA TOUR. She is surging right now and has emerged as one of the up and coming stars in the sport.

Former world number one Plíšková has one title win on the year so far from back at Brisbane. Barty came close in Sydney and appear due to win one soon if it doesn’t come in Miami. While it’s difficult to make a pick on this one, we’re going with experience. We like Plíšková in this one. It won’t come easy as Barty has dispatched a stellar list of players at the Miami Open.

The Czech tennis star, however, is coming off of a HUGE straight set victory over Romanian great Simona Halep. That has to give her an extra boost of momentum heading into the finals. She ousted the tournament’s second seed, winning 7-5, 6-1.
