#4 – The Next-Gen is rising…

The early 2019 ATP Tour season has shown the rise of the Next-Gen stars. 20-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas got to the Australian Open final beating Roger Federer on his way.

19-year-old Miomir Kecmanovic got to the quarter finals at the Indian Wells Masters. At the Miami Open, 19-year-old Denis Shapovalov got to the semi finals. 18-year-old Felix Auger-Alliasime, arguably the greatest talent since the Big Four, got to the final at the Rio Open, beating the likes of Fabio Fognini on the way. He also got to the semi finals of the Miami Open.

What these results show, is that as the older generation is battling age, the younger generation is slowly but surely catching up to them. With the clay court season around the corner, expect many more good showings from these young chaps.
