#5 – The ATP tour is widening…

This season has had 19 tournaments so far (not counting Miami) and it has had 19 different winners. The ATP tour, right now, is as open as ever.

Dominic Thiem, a long touted clay specialist won his first Masters on a hard court. Gael Monfils, who seemed to be going down quietly, is reinvigorated this year with many good performances so far. The clay season is just a few days away. We don’t know much about Rafael Nadal’s physical condition as of now.

We do know that Roger Federer is only playing a select few tournaments during the clay season. And we also know that Novak Djokovic is a shadow of his former self in Best Of 3 set matches. Expect a lot of fireworks from April to June. That is, until Nadal wins it all, again…
