Coming in at #3 is rising ATP star, arguably the next big thing in the sport of men’s singles tennis, none other than Alexander Zverev.

German tennis star Alexander Zverev could be the next big superstar in men’s singles. He has already solidified his place atop the rankings and took him the title at the ATP Finals in London last year. Can Zverev win the French Open though? That remains to be seen. Odds makers like him to be close to the top of the list in terms of favorites though.

Zverev comes in around a 12-1 pick to take the title this year, almost neck and neck with Dominic Thiem. Both players remain in search of their first ever Grand Slam singles titles. Zverev’s best outing at a major to date is the 2018 French Open. He reached the quarterfinals there before falling to Thiem in three sets.

Despite him coming in just higher than Thiem among some lists, we think the next few weeks will sort out who stands the better chance at Roland Garros. Certainly, Thiem’s title at the Indian Wells Masters makes him a hot pick right now. Zverev, however, should not be phased by this. He is seeking his first ATP singles title on the year. Last season, he notched four and in 2017 he had five. Zverev is surging and currently sits in the world number three position in the ATP singles rankings.
