2. 2016 Olympic Final vs Juan Martin Del Potro

With this win, Murray secured his name in the history books. By beating Del Potro in the final, he became the first player, male or female, to win two Olympic singles gold medals. In a tight match, Murray took it in four sets 7–5, 4–6, 6–2, 7–5.

Not too many stars in men’s singles tennis can say that they also have a gold medal from the Olympics. Murray had two as of 2016. What a stellar accomplishment. Murray had won previously back in 2012 and followed it up with yet another. He was easily one of the top names in the entire sport during the period in-between these gold medals and it was only fitting that he would win yet another gold medal against such an accomplished player.
