10. 2012 Olympic Final vs Roger Federer

This match felt like a turning point in Murray’s career. He beat Roger Federer easily in the final, 6-2, 6-1, 6-4. Just one month before, Murray had reached his first Wimbledon final and was extremely emotional following a loss to Federer. However, at the Olympics in 2012, on Wimbledon centre court, Murray stepped up.

Federer had a gruelling semi-final with Juan Martin Del Potro and was visibly tired. But Murray was able to prevent him from winning the only major title that has eluded him in his incredible career, an Olympic singles gold medal. What a match it was.

If you want to read more about Federer, take a look here and let us know whether or not you think he is the greatest tennis player ever. In this match at least, Murray bested him.
