6. 2016 Davis Cup semi-final vs Juan Martin Del Potro

Despite losing this match, it saw some of the best tennis Murray has produced. It was a classic, with Murray going down in five sets 6-4, 5-7, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 after more than five hours on court.

This was only the third time Murray had lost a singles match in Davis Cup with the defending champions losing to eventual champions, Argentina. 2016 continued to be an incredible year of tennis for Murray. He reached the finals at the Australian Open and then again at the French Open. He would win the Wimbledon Championships. Despite this loss in the Davis Cup semifinals, it was just one of several displays of brilliant tennis by Murray.
