Eugenie Bouchard Makes NBA Finals Appearance Following French Open
By Harry Floyd
Canadian tennis player Eugenie Bouchard was spotted at game five of the NBA Finals this week following her recent French Open appearance.
Eugenie Bouchard is inching back into the spotlight, first taking on the field at the French Open and then making an appearance at the NBA Finals game in Toronto. The Toronto Raptors hosted the Golden State Warriors for game five of the NBA Finals and Bouchard was seen courtside.
Take a look at Genie’s Instagram post here of her at the Raptors’ game. The Canadian captioned the photo with “let’s get this thing going.”

This year at the French Open, Bouchard made a rare appearance. She had recently taken an indefinite break from the tennis courts due to injury and in order to simply rest, recover, and get her game back. We did not expect to see her at Roland Garros.
Bouchard falls in her opener against Lesia Tsurenko. The Ukrainian tennis player would ultimately reach the round of 32 where she would fall to Romanian tennis star and defending French Open champion Simona Halep. The defending champ could not, however, take the title this time around. That would go to none other than first time singles champ Ashleigh Barty.
Despite Bouchard dropping a straight set match to Tsurenko in her opener, Genie appears to be getting back onto the tennis courts. She took time to practice at the US Open courts this past week before venturing up to Toronto for the NBA Finals.
As of writing, the Warriors take game five of the NBA Finals, winning by a single point in a 106-105 victory over the Raptors. They still trail the Raptors by one game in the series and face another do or die situation in game six.
Eugenie Bouchard appears to be getting back into both tennis and all around shape. She is a former would number five in women’s singles and a Wimbledon finalist. With the grass court season coming up, we have to wonder if Bouchard will take to the courts even more. If she is healthy enough to continue competing, fans and players alike will be eager to see her out there.
