Overall: There is still a ton in the air around the merger. As of now, there aren’t any official reports if there will be any traction on the subject; it’s just conversation between notable figures in tennis at this point. There are a good amount of upsides and downsides to merging the two tours, and more news and opinion will certainly follow as the situation progresses. Time will tell if all players will be on board with the move and how it would affect tennis if it were to happen.
