4. Daniil Medvedev

Age: 24

Current Rank: 5

Medvedev is already in the top five, so it’s clear that he’s one of the most talented players of the next generation. He’s won 7 titles in his career, including a magnificent 2019 season where he collected 4 titles. Two of his wins came at Masters 1000 Series in Shanghai and Cincinnati. He was also a finalist in Canada and at the US Open, where he lost to Rafael Nadal in an incredible five-set match.

Medvedev consistently proved last year why he’s going to be one of the ATP’s top players, as he was able to fight his way to the finals of 9 tournaments. His big struggle came against the Big 3; Medvedev compiled a 2-5 record against them, with his only two wins coming against Djokovic. He did have a 4-3 record against the Thiem-Zverev-Tsitsipas trio, which does bode well for him considering they’re the next top players on tour.

Medvedev has the tools to be a consistent top five player. He’ll likely break through and win a major in the next couple of years, and it’s possible that he could make his way even higher than 4th on this list come 2024.

Next. #3 - Alexander Zverev. dark
