With Djokovic overtaking Roger Federer in the grand slam count, is this the final nail in the coffin for Federer’s career?

In the history of sport, and even more so, in tennis, it is nigh impossible that we will ever witness another player to reign over the sport like Roger Federer did in his hey-day.
10 consecutive grand slam finals was something Roger Federer pulled off in the 2000s. Simply ridiculous. He spent almost 4 consecutive years at world number 1, from 2004 to 2008, without being overtaken for a single week by anybody.
The dominance of Roger Federer in an individual sport can only be compared to the dominance of Tiger Woods or Michael Schumacher at their peaks. It was never a question about who was winning. It was about who would come second.
Even in his advanced years (athlete wise), Roger Federer pulled off the mother of all combacks, winning the 2017 Australian Open out of nowhere. After not winning any majors in 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016, Federer was very much in the shadow of Djokovic, Murray, and to some extent, Nadal over that period.
in 2016, there was no doubt that Federer was the inferior player to the likes of Djokovic and Murray, who played in all the grand slam finals.
However, 2017 happened, and we witnessed an unbelievable renaissance from the maestro. He repeated his feat at Wimbledon, and then the Australian Open the following year. At that point in February 2018, Djokovic was at 12 majors. It looked like Federer had closed the door shut for Djokovic to overtake him. He needed to win almost as many majors as he won in his entire career to overtake him. That was a tall order to expect Novak to win 9 majors in his 30s.
But he we are. 1 global pandemic later, Djokovic has dethrones the great Roger Federer. Novak still has Nadal in his way, but one question still remains
Has Djokovic finally put the final nail in the coffin for Federer’s career?
