Alexander Zverev has classic NSFW response to Taylor Fritz after BOSS Open

Truthful and funny, too.

Alexander Zverev has to be tired of Taylor Fritz. While the German consistently remains a higher-ranked player than the American, Zverev literally cannot beat Fritz lately.

The American has beaten the German five straight times, and the run goes back to last year's Wimbledon. That is important as both Zverev and Fritz could be favorites to make deep runs at the next Grand Slam. This is especially true after how well each played at the BOSS Open.

After neither dropped a set on their way to Sunday's final in Stuttgart, Fritz proved to be the only player to come out completely clean at the tournament. He beat Zverev for the title 6-3 7-6(0). Fritz did not face a break point in either the semifinal or final, and the German rarely saw an opportunity to even get a point off the American's serve.

Alexander Zverev delivers great post-match response to Taylor Fritz

Tennis fans are not the only ones to notice how much Fritz has dominated the rivalry with Zverev recently. The German has definitely noticed, and he said as much during his post-match speech to Fritz.

To be clear, much of what the German said was family-friendly, but one expletive was enough to make sure you don't want to play the clip in front of the office on Monday. The words Zverev said, though, were all 100 percent true and, likely, heartfelt.

The German said, "Taylor, I’m (expletive) tired of you. I don’t wanna see you again over the next two to three years. Please stay away from me. Don’t come to Germany anymore."

Of course, Fritz knew Zverev was joking and laughed at the comments. That is likely easier to do since he won the match, and played well enough to know he is peaking on grass courts just in time for Wimbledon.

Fritz also knows that the proverbial tables could turn quickly in the rivalry. For whatever reason, the American is currently kryptonite to the German's game. Zverev is seemingly firmly entrenched as ATP No. 3 behind Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, as Zverev has a better all-around game than Fritz. The German is a far better player on clay, for instance.

But Fritz is currently better on any other surface when the two face off. He knows it. Zverev knows it, too.
