How to watch 2024 Davis Cup Final: Details for Day 2 of the semifinals
By Lee Vowell
The 2024 Davis Cup Final is down to its last day before the final match is played. There have been no huge upsets so far, though it was sad to see Spain get bounced out in their first tie as that meant we had seen the last of Rafael Nadal. Still, we might be watching the new Nadal in the form of Jannik Sinner.
Sinner is the most consistent player on the ATP tour in terms of playing in peak form. He is nearly unbeatable when he is playing well, but that is especially true on indoor hard courts. Fortunately for Sinner and Team Italy, that is the surface on which the Davis Cup is played.
Italy plays Team Australia in the second of the semifinal matches. The winner will play on Sunday. While Sinner is fantastic, Team Australia has a deep pool of talent. Here is everything else you need to know.
Start time, channel, and what to expect from the 2024 Davis Cup Final semifinal 2
Davis Cup Final Semifinals 2 details:
- Start time: 7 am ET and 1 pm in Malaga
- Location: Palacio Deportes Martín Carpena in Malaga, Spain
- Surface: Indoor hard court
To get to this stage, Australia defeated the US 2-1 while Italy dispatched Argentina 2-1. Sinner will make Team Italy difficult to beat, but the Australians have a team that is put together well. If the Aussies can force a deciding doubles match, they likely will have the edge. This is how the defeated the United States as well.
