The Miami Open is one of players' favorite events of the ATP and WTA season. American players take advantage of the home soil and crowd to get some doubles match play in. Here are four exciting All-American doubles teams playing together this year in Miami.

Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe are among the highest ranked Americans in singles (14th and 22nd respectively). They are no strangers to playing doubles together having done so previously at Laver Cup. Their first match, in the Round of 32, is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 AM EDT.

Ben Shelton and Christopher Eubanks also have contrasting styles and exciting personalities on the court and have played together in the past. Their first match, also in the Round of 32, is on Friday, March 22 at 1:30 PM EDT.

American women are getting in on the act too

Peyton Stearns, after suffering the disappointing three set loss to Victoria Azarenka on Thursday, opens her doubles bid with teammate Madison Keys in the Round of 32 at 4:00 PM EDT on Friday. They have a challenging match against the Chinese team of Yue Yuan and Jiang Xinyu.

Sloane Stephens and Ashlyn Krueger are the only All-American team in this group to already log their Round of 32 win on Thursday, and it was a big one over the most successful female American doubles team in recent years, Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula. The match went the distance with Stephens and Krueger winning 6-3, 1-6, and 10-8. They await the winner of the Linda Noskova, Wang Xiyu versus Bernarda Pera and Magda Linette match.

All-American doubles serve multiple purposes. In addition to being entertaining for fans, players log match time with potential partners in Davis, Laver, and Billie Jean King Cup matches as well as the Paris 2024 Olympics.
