Emma Raducanu has been somewhat of a divisive figure in tennis. She won the 2021 US Open, but that remains the only event she has won in her career. She has more often been missing from tournaments due to various injuries. This includes having surgery on both wrists and one of her ankles and that was in 2022 alone.

She also has had a couple of mishaps not directly related to her level of play. Before the UK election earlier this year, she said she was not even aware of an election at all. She also ended Andy Murray's final Wimbledon run earlier than expected when she unexpectedly decided to focus on her singles matches instead of playing mixed doubles with him.

Still, she has an effervescent personality and a charming smile. If she were to maintain a high level of form, she could be one of the more entertaining players in tennis. But she has not been able to do that, and, according to Dr. Rob Wilson, a professor of Applied Sports Finance at Sheffield Hallam University, if Raducanu doesn't start winning, she could begin losing endorsements.

Emma Raducanu could begin losing endorsements and Jannik Sinner may know his 2025 schedule

Dr. Wilson told the website, Online Betting Guide, "Emma Raducanu needs to be winning games to keep her commercial deals up. Pretty much everything in terms of sponsorships in Raducanu’s case is between on-court and off-the-court performance...Where she was smart was where she signed some lengthy deals when she won the US Open...But if she doesn’t start winning games, she is going to really struggle to renegotiate or renew any of those commercial endorsements and the career could be over pretty much in its infancy..."

Another career near its beginning is ATP No. 1 Jannik Sinner's. He won two Grand Slams in 2024, plus the ATP Finals. What might he do to match that in 2025?

We can't be too sure, of course, especially if he does end up getting suspended for a failed drug test at Indian Wells in March. Assuming that does not happen, which is not at all a safe assumption, then Sinner might play in as many as 23 tournaments. Most of those include the tournaments below, with the tournaments he won in 2024 in bold.

  • Australian Open - January 13 through 27
  • Rotterdam Open - February 2 through 9
