The last week of Wimbledon always seems to go by so much faster than even the chaos of the early rounds. Perhaps this is because the matches are even higher-stress as we draw closer to the end. As far as the women's final in 2025, for the third-straight year, we will have a surprise winner.

Amanda Anisimova has never been in the final of a major and has three singles titles in her career. Iga Swiatek has five major titles (four at the French Open and one at the US Open). Swiatek is only nine months older than the American.

So, how can you watch the match unfold, and who will win? We know the answer to the first part of that, but not the second (though we still take a guess). We will learn the answer to the latter on Saturday.

What time is the match?

In years past, the Wimbledon finals (both women and men) have started at 2 pm BST (9 am ET), but not in 2025. The match will begin at 4 pm BST (11 am ET) on Saturday, July 12, so it isn't so much breakfast at Wimbledon anymore, but brunch at Wimbledon. You will just have to push the start of your day back a bit.

Rain will not be an issue as Centre Court has a roof, but it is going to be hot. Temperatures are expected to reach 85 degrees Fahrenheit (29.4 Celsius), so one might wonder if that affects either player. It could determine the outcome of the match.

Preview and who will win:

Iga Swiatek's last year has been an odd one. The former WTA No. 1 has shockingly not won a title since the 2024 French Open. She had never been overly successful on grass courts, but she looks like a 10-time Wimbledon winner in her form this year.

She is hitting the ball bigger after changing coaches in late 2024, and this has helped her take a different approach in London. Against an in-form Belinda Bencic in the semifinals, Swiatek lost just two games.

Anisimova's story is even more complex. She took nine months off in 2023, citing mental fatigue and burnout with tennis. The 23-year-old has come back even better and is clearly an ascending player on the WTA tour.

The match might come down to who can control their nerves the best. Neither has won Wimbledon, but Swiatek has been singularly driven to get a title. Anisimova has the talent to win the match, but has never won a Grand Slam before. The guess here is that Swiatek wins the match in three sets.
