How he got here:

R2: Simone Bolelli

R3: Alexandr Dolgopolov

R4: Tommy Robredo

Possible path to title:

QF: (3) Rafael Nadal

SF: (2) Roger Federer

F: (1) Novak Djokovic

Chance at Championship:

Raonic keeps producing the expected results. His huge serve is enough to beat most players, but when he starts to face those ranked above him, they are not as afraid. The players know that Raonic is not likely to break their serves. Even if his opponents take a little off their first serve to get a higher percentage, Raonic struggles to make any headway.

Similar to others toward the bottom of this ranking, the difficulty goes back to beat three of the Big Four players in four days. It’s a feat that has rarely been accomplished in the quartets illustrious careers and Raonic does not have the all-around game necessary to pulls three straight upsets.
