Here are the five reasons why Jack Sock will fare well at the French Open.

1.)  He has the great ability of footwork to slide which can serve as his advantage and his opponents’ disadvantage to have balls spin and fly over the red clay.

2.)  He is excellent at running around his backhand that will cause chaos as he pushes his opponents back to a sometimes slippery baseline tape.

3.)  Sock’s ‘whipping’ forehand action is not only diabolical but devious, causing him to gain speeds on a ball that will slip and slide off a somewhat unpredictable court.

4.)  He not only is good at his singles game, but his doubles and mixed doubles, if he chooses to play it. He is undeniable. Sock has learned to play all levels well and he is one to beware of.

5.)  Sock loves to be challenged to get all balls back whether he falls into a backboard sponsor’s sign, a linesperson’s box or a photographer. Everything is possible for hmi to return his opponents’ shots.

Jack Sock is to be watched, enjoyed and perhaps never duplicated.

"As he said in winning his first title the ASB Classic in New Zealand, “I lost the second set today and I had to regroup and buckle down”."

Sock knows very well how to buckle down so the French Open is his croissant and he’s out there to take a bit of any game, match and round, moving himself forward to succeed. Sock’s talents are unpredictable and who knows he might add a French Open title to his career in some level this year.
