Coming into their finals meetings, Williams had seven consecutive wins against Wozniacki. While she may have been the underdog in their career head-to-head, the Danish tennis star has been fantastic on the 2017 WTA Tour.

Having finished runner-up at the 2010 WTA Finals, the former world No. 1 is now on the winning end. With 27 career singles titles, Wozniacki continues to prove that she is one of the best players in women’s singles tennis.
Williams is the oldest woman to reach the finals in Singapore. The American tennis veteran has seen a resurgence on the 2017 WTA Tour at 37-years-old. She defeated French tennis star Caroline Garcia in the semifinals before dropping the championship match to Wozniacki.

The win in Singapore is a strong ending to the year for Caroline Wozniacki.
