Kyle Edmund is looking to finish his 2017 ATP World Tour on a high note. He faces Jack Sock next at the Paris Masters this week.

Kyle Edmund has recently slipped behind Aljaz Bedene in the British rankings.

Now the British No. 3 behind Andy Murray and Bedene, Edmund looks to regain some ground in the rankings. He squares off against American Jack Sock next at the 2017 Paris Masters.

Edmund’s opener in Paris saw him pit against Evgeny Donskoy of Russia. After dropping the first set, the British No. 3 rallied to win the final two sets of the match. He was originally slated to face Lucas Pouille before their meeting was cancelled.

Jack Sock is the sixteenth seed this week at the Paris Masters.

Looking at their career head-to-head, Edmund has the slight advantage with a 1-0 record against Sock. They faced one another earlier this year in Atlanta. Sock’s fellow countryman John Isner would go on to win the title in Atlanta.

It is Isner and Sam Querrey who surged in the second half of the 2017 ATP World Tour for the Americans. While Sock remains a top player in men’s singles, he has faded in recent months. He, similar to Kyle Edmund, will be looking to end his season on a positive note. The two young up and comers square off on Wednesday in Paris.

The biggest match of the day Wednesday will be between Rafael Nadal and Hyeon Chung of South Korea. Chung is the only player who stands in Nadal’s way of locking in the year-end No. 1 title. With Roger Federer pulling out of the Paris Masters, Nadal needs just one win to secure the ranking. The Spanish superstar is the top seed this week.
