Jack Sock wins Paris Masters, qualifies for 2017 ATP Finals in London

Jack Sock stuns a talented Paris Masters field. The American takes home the title and qualifies for the ATP Finals in London.
Jack Sock wins the biggest tournament of his career at the 2017 Paris Masters.
Outlasting Serbian qualifier Filip Krajinovic, the young American takes their three-set meeting 5-7, 6-4, 6-1. The Paris title catapults him into the final qualifying position for the ATP Finals in London next week. Action takes place at The O2 Arena.

After an impressive start to the 2017 ATP World Tour, Sock faded in the middle months. Looking for a strong finish to the year, the sixteenth seed kicked off his week in Paris with a win over Kyle Edmund. He would continue on through a talented field of players.

Krajinovic fought hard to defeat Sock’s fellow countryman John Isner in the semifinals. Isner, the ninth seed in Paris, was fresh off of wins over both Grigor Dimitrov and Juan Martin del Potro.
The Serbian’s run at the 2017 Paris Masters is something that he too will surely remember. Remaining in search of his first ever ATP singles title, a masters final is far beyond a step in the right direction. The 2017 Paris Masters will be a career highlight for both him and American title winner Jack Sock. Now, Sock looks ahead to the end of year finals in London, a tournament that he was not necessarily expecting to reach.

Headlining action in London this year is Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Nadal’s early success in Paris locked him in as the year-end world No. 1 in men’s singles tennis. He and Federer are both having career years on the ATP World Tour. Federer is a six-time winner at the ATP Finals while Nadal remains in search of his first ever title.
