Alexander Zverev is making a name for himself on the ATP World Tour. The young German ends 2017 as the top NextGen player and world No. 4.

Alexander Zverev is riding high right now. At just 20-years-old, he ends the 2017 ATP World Tour as the top NextGenATP player and the world No. 4 in men’s singles tennis.

The young German tennis star is undoubtedly the best newcomer on the tour.

Finishing the year right behind ATP Finals champion Girgor Dimitrov, Zverev ends 2017 as the world No. 4. Ahead of the two younger stars are veteran greats Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Men’s singles tennis is seeing a fantastic mix of both veteran and young talent right now.

Alexander Zverev earns five singles titles on the 2017 ATP World Tour.

The towering German tennis star wins five of his six career titles in 2017. His first ever ATP title came just one year prior in St. Petersburg. He is now one of the players to beat in the coming year and has already tasted success on some of the sport’s highest stages.

The 2017 ATP World Tour saw Zverev win two Masters 1000 titles. To make his resume even more impressive, the young tennis star made his debut at the end of year ATP Finals in London. Qualifying in the top spot for the Next Generation ATP Finals in Milan, he forwent play in Milan in order to compete with the best in all of men’s singles tennis at The O2 Arena.

Beyond his two Masters 1000 titles, Zverev also tasted glory in Munich, Washington, and Montpellier. At his Masters 1000 win in Canada, he even defeated world No. 2 Federer in the finals. Now, Zverev has a 2-3 record against the 19-time Grand Slam singles champion.

The 2018 ATP World Tour is set to feature the likes of Zverev and several other young stars such as Dimitrov and Dominic Thiem. The new generation in men’s singles is looking to continue challenging Federer, Nadal, and others.
