Eugenie Bouchard must turn things around if she hopes to compete at Wimbledon. A recent Instagram post implies that she is eyeing the Grand Slam.

Eugenie Bouchard is well outside the WTA Top 100 in women’s singles tennis right now. The young Canadian tennis star has gone as high as the world number five ranking on the WTA Tour but has struggled as of late. She has contended at the upcoming Grand Slam before though and Genie just may be getting into a mental state to turn things around at Wimbledon 2018. Her recent play at the Birmingham Classic is a small step in the right direction.

Bouchard goes 2-1 in the qualifying rounds at Birmingham this month. While she ultimately falls to American Jennifer Brady, Genie did turn to social media to post about the grass court season.

It comes as no surprise that Bouchard has a massive following on social media. Her Instagram following is beyond impressive and she maintains a large fanbase despite her sliding in the rankings these recent years. The young Canadian is known for sharing her time off the courts on social media. She garnered plenty of attention recently with this post from a recent swimsuit photoshoot. Genie is still just 24-years-old and has plenty of tennis ahead of her. Coaching changes and other shakeups have gotten in the way of her rediscovering that world number five game that thrusted her into the spotlight several years ago. The future could be bright for Bouchard, but she needs to prove it to the sport.

Eugenie Bouchard reached the finals at Wimbledon 2014. That same year, she also reached the semifinals at both the Australian Open and at Roland Garros. If she is comfortable at any Grand Slam, it is Wimbledon.
