Caroline Wozniacki is among the best in women’s singles tennis on the 2018 WTA Tour. After finishing last year with a WTA Finals title, the Danish tennis star cruised right into the new year. Winning at Melbourne Park, she took home her first career Grand Slam singles title. She had been a former world number one before, but Wozniacki joined an elite club with the victory.
Going back and forth for the world number one singles ranking with French Open champion Simona Halep, Wozniacki is fighting to remain atop the sport. With Wimbledon on the horizon, fans are eyeing her chances at the major tournament event in London, England.

Currently, Garbine Muguruza enters the upcoming slam as the defending champion. She has her work cut out for her though. Women’s singles tennis is seeing some fantastic talent as of late. Several young rising stars such as Sofia Kenin, Sloane Stephens, Jelena Ostapenko, and Madison Keys among others are making headlines in the sport.
Then, you have veteran greats such as Angelique Kerber, Petra Kvitova, and even the likes of American legends Serena and Venus Williams still in the mix. Kerber and Kvitova are both making roaring comebacks on the 2018 WTA Tour as of late. The field at Wimbledon this year is sure to be one of the most competitive to date.
Caroline Wozniacki has reached the fourth round of play at Wimbledon six times throughout her career. Now a Grand Slam champion, the Danish tennis star seeks her first title at the grass court major with some newfound momentum.
Looking at her performance throughout each of the Grand Slams, Caroline Wozniacki has fared the worst at Wimbledon. That being said, she also has strong experience at the major tournament event that many others do not. Reaching the fourth round of play so many times before, the Danish tennis star could easily make a deep run this year. Her stellar play to round out 2017 has jumpstarted a new era in her career. She remains among the players to beat on tour and ought to be someone to watch at the upcoming Wimbledon Championships.
