American tennis star Jack Sock has struggled on the men’s singles side of things lately. He is making progress in doubles though.
Jack Sock might be struggling on the men’s singles side of the courts, but the American is seeing some success in men’s doubles at Wimbledon this year. He is partnered up with one of the most accomplished doubles players ever in Mike Bryan. Typically playing alongside twin brother Bob, Bryan has had to find replacements since Bob suffered an injury earlier in 2018.
The Sock-Bryan pairing has made their way into the semifinals in men’s doubles at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships.

Combining forces at the Queen’s Club Championships in June, Sock and Bryan notched their first win together before Wimbledon. Now, the two have found a rhythm just in time for the Grand Slam.
Bryan is a three-time champion in men’s doubles at Wimbledon. He also has a mixed doubles title from 2012. He is proven at the major tournament and somewhat surprisingly, so is Sock.
Jack Sock won the 2014 men’s doubles title at Wimbledon alongside Vasek Pospisil. That year, he defeated the Bryan Brothers in the finals. Now, he is cruising through the Grand Slam alongside Mike Bryan.

The combined experience of Mike Bryan and Jack Sock make them a definite pairing to watch down the stretch at Wimbledon. While Sock splashed out during the round of 128 on the singles side of the main draw, his run alongside Bryan is exactly what he needed to rebound with. Sock is also into the round of 16 in mixed doubles alongside American Sloane Stephens. Both players have made progress in doubles despite their unfortunate singles losses. Meanwhile, another American tennis star in John Isner reaches the quarterfinals in men’s singles. He takes on Milos Raonic next at the Grand Slam. The 33-year-old American tennis veteran has taken over for Sock, Sam Querrey, and others from the US throughout the 2018 ATP World Tour. Isner seeks his first career singles Grand Slam while Sock shoots for his second in men’s doubles.
