American tennis veteran John Isner is the top seed at the Stockholm Open. Is another ATP singles title on the docket for him?

John Isner is the current world number ten in men’s singles tennis. His reemergence as a force in American men’s tennis this year has made him a top contender in any tournament he plays. Isner is the top seed and favorite at the 2018 Stockholm Open. Fending off fellow countryman Bradley Klahn in his tournament opener this week, Isner survives a hard-fought battle. He wins a three set thriller to advance and face another American in the quarterfinals.

Tennys Sandgren stands in Isner’s way right now. The edge must goto the world number ten and top seed but anything can happen in Stockholm.

Elsewhere at the tournament, another American is back in action. Jack Sock has largely struggled on the singles side of his play on the 2018 ATP World Tour. Despite that, Sock is back with a vengeance at Stockholm Open. His men’s doubles success on the year has generated two grand slam titles but Sock is in desperate need of a deep run on the men’s singles side of the action. He too is into the quarterfinals this week.

John Isner has two ATP singles titles so far on the 2018 ATP World Tour. Is a third title right around the corner? He faces fellow countryman Tennys Sandgren next in the quarterfinals at the Stockholm Open.
