Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki is setting out to defend her WTA Finals title this coming week. Can Wozniacki pull off back to back wins in Singapore?

Caroline Wozniacki is among the top players in women’s singles tennis entering the action at the 2018 WTA Finals. She faces former world number one Czech tennis star Karolina Pliskova first in the group stage of the event. Last year, Wozniacki took home her first career win at the end of year event and followed it up with a grand slam title at the Australian Open.

The Danish tennis star has become a force within women’s singles.

Battling back and forth with Romanian great Simona Halep for much of the 2018 WTA Tour, Wozniacki now emerges as one of the top contenders for the title in Singapore. The event is set to feature a stellar mix of veteran talent and young rising stars. Wozniacki falls somewhere right in the middle of those two categories.

Veteran greats in the mix at the 2018 WTA Finals include the likes of Angelique Kerber and Petra Kvitova. The rest of the field includes rising stars such as Naomi Osaka, Elina Svitolina, Sloane Stephens and others. Caroline Wozniacki is in a prime position, capable of utilizing her vast experience and youthful talent.
