British number one Kyle Edmund is one of the rising stars on the ATP World Tour. Somehow, he remains without a title to his name.
When British tennis player Kyle Edmund made his way into the 2018 Laver Cup action, he added yet another impressive piece to his resume. He has emerged as one of the best young rising stars on the ATP World Tour. Edmund does, however, remain without an ATP singles title so far in his young career. That doesn’t mean that one isn’t right around the corner though.
This week, Edmund finds himself in the semifinals at the European Open in Antwerp, Belgium. He takes on French tennis veteran Richard Gasquest for a shot at the finals.
There are so many young stars in men’s singles tennis. Even though it seems like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer have largely dominated men’s tennis as of late, players like Edmund are making headlines.
Dominic Thiem, Hyeon Chung, David Goffin, Jack Sock, Alexander Zverev and on and on. There are too many young stars to name and Edmund is right at the top of this field of competitive players. He is the current world number 15 on the ATP World Tour and could continue to rise if he can keep up his newfound success. Reaching the finals at the European Open would give Edmund yet another chance at a title in men’s singles tennis.
Kyle Edmund is one of the best players on the ATP World Tour without a singles title to his name. He looks to change that fact in the extremely near future. The 2018 European Open could be a chance at an ATP win.
Fans of Kyle Edmund have come to realize his greatness on the ATP World Tour. He will be one of the top contenders in the sport for many years to come and there is no doubt that a title win is right around the corner for the British number one.
