Rising tennis star Dominic Thiem is someone to watch at the 2018 ATP Finals in London. He reaches the event for the third straight year.

Dominic Thiem is no stranger to the ATP Finals in London. In fact, this is his third consecutive year qualifying for the event. Despite being one of the younger players in this year’s field, Thiem has more experience at the ATP Finals than some of the other qualifiers.

His first opponent, Kevin Anderson, has qualified for just the first time in his successful career. Anderson is a veteran who has seen fantastic success in the previous two years on tour. Also in his first ever ATP Finals is American veteran John Isner.

Thiem, on the other hand, has the unique mixture of experience and youth. He is just 25-years-old and the current world number eight in men’s singles tennis. Thiem and Alexander Zverev makeup the rising stars in this year’s field.

Serbian superstar Novak Djokovic is our favorite to take the title at the 2018 ATP Finals. He and Roger Federer have the most experience at the event throughout the past decade and Nole, in particular, has dominated his time at the O2 Arena in London. Djokovic went on a four year streak of titles at the ATP Finals between 2012 – 2015. Thiem will need to compete at the highest of levels if he hopes to knock out either Djokovic or Federer.

Dominic Thiem enters the 2018 ATP Finals in Group Lleyton Hewitt. Roger Federer is atop the group. Also included are Kevin Anderson and Kei Nishikori. The young Austrian could pose a threat not only in the group stage, but as he shoots for a title in London.
