Top 10 Young Tennis Players – #5 is South Korean star Hyeon Chung. He took home the 2017 Next Gen ATP Finals title and is only improving.

Hyeon Chung can hang with the best in men’s singles tennis. After taking the 2017 Next Gen ATP Finals title over Russian star Andrey Rublev, Chung has kept up his impressive pace of play. The 2018 ATP World Tour saw the South Korean reaching a career high singles ranking of world number 19. He has also already amassed well over $3 million in prize money when taking into account both his singles and doubles play.

Hyeon Chung is among the very best in men’s singles tennis without an ATP singles title through the 2018 ATP World Tour. Look for him to take a title in the near or immediate future.

At the 2018 Australian Open, Chung made his best grand slam singles appearance to date. Reaching the semifinals, he followed up what was a spectacular 2017 by coming out of the gates strong in the new year. His Melbourne Park performance is a sign of things to come for the young South Korean tennis star.
