Bjorn Borg joins Eugenie Bouchard during Necker Island trip

Tennis legend Bjorn Borg has been enjoying some time with Richard Branson and others on Necker Island this past month.
Bjorn Borg is a former world number one in men’s singles tennis. The Swedish star is a legend in the sport and in all of athletics. This past month, he’s been spotted alongside business magnate Richard Branson as Branson has played host to tennis players and others on his Necker Island. It is time for the annual Necker Cup which featured the likes of Eugenie Bouchard, Mike Bryan, Nicole Gibbs, and others.
Social media was abuzz with updates from Necker Island. Here is Genie Bouchard playing bags with Bjorg standing by for his turn. The young Canadian mentioned being nervous while the tennis legend looked on and cheered.
The Necker Cup wraps up what looks to have been an exciting and fun event on the island. Here is a group shot toward the end of the action.
Bjorg has a unique story to his career that includes early retirement right in the middle of a fantastic few years in men’s singles tennis. Among his 11 total Grand Slam singles titles, five straight came at the Wimbledon Championships between 1976 and 1980. His other six came at the French Open. Now 62-years-old, the Swedish tennis icon is looking happier than ever. Here he is hitting on the courts with Branson on Necker Island.
