First came Maria Sharapova and now comes Eugenie Bouchard and others to Necker Island. Tennis stars are flocking to the private island owned by Sir Richard Branson in anticipation of the Necker Cup. The English business magnate is playing host to tennis stars such as Sharapova, Bouchard, Serena Williams, Tennys Sandgren, and Tommy Haas.

The Russian tennis legend shared her time on Necker Island via her social media and Basline reported on her vacationing with Branson. On November 25th, Bouchard took to social media to let fans know that she had arrived to the island. See her Twitter post from the beach here.

The island is gearing up for the Necker Cup Pro-Am tournament. Their website features an entire list of current and past participants here. Bouchard, a former 2014 Wimbledon finalist in women’s singles, is one of the professional tennis players participating this year.

Genie is just one of many tennis players on the island and she is taking full advantage of her time there so far.

Branson even took on Bjorn Borg on the courts, thinking that he had a chance at one point before choking. The two shared some videos of their back and forth on the tennis courts here.

The young Canadian tennis player is a fan favorite, sharing photos and videos with fans constantly during the WTA Tour and her off-season. This week appears to be no different. Bouchard has previously posted about lavish and wild adventures so her fans should expect more while she’s on Necker Island.
