World number one Novak Djokovic is once again on top of the sport. He seeks to repeat a career year as he looks ahead to 2019.

Novak Djokovic enters the 2019 ATP Tour atop the sport. He is once again the best of the best in men’s singles tennis. Like many of his peers, Nole suffered ongoing and lingering issues for much of the past two years. Djokovic is back and better than ever though. Finding his rhythm in the middle months of the 2018 ATP Tour, Nole is carrying serious momentum into the coming season.

Look for Djokovic to be the player to beat at the Australian Open. While Swiss superstar Roger Federer took titles at Melbourne Park the past two years, Djokovic is on fire right now.

Last year, the Serbian great took home two Grand Slam singles titles at the Wimbledon Championships and the US Open. Then, he reached the finals at the ATP Finals in London, falling to rising ATP star Alexander Zverev. Ending the year in the world number one position, Djokovic is back to where he has been plenty of times before. Nole is comfortable atop the rankings.

Federer and French Open champion Rafael Nadal saw continued resurgences at the start of 2018, but Nadal would breakdown due to injury and Federer became beatable. Time will tell whether or not the two veteran tennis legends can bounce back this coming year. One thing is for sure though; Djokovic is the current dominant player of the Big Four.

If Djokovic kicks off the 2019 ATP Tour with wins leading up to or at the Australian Open, he will only further the argument that he is the player to beat. Right now, Nole is OUR FAVORITE to take the title in men’s singles at Melbourne Park. Caroline Wozniacki is our pick to defend her title on the women’s singles side. The field will be stacked, but these two stand out above the rest.

Can Novak Djokovic repeat the success that he saw on the 2018 ATP Tour? If he remains healthy, there is no reason to think otherwise. Check back to see how Nole fares in the early months of the coming tour and to see whether or not rising stars and other veteran greats can challenge the new world number one.
