Sofia Kenin claims her first ever career singles title on the WTA Tour, defeating Anna Karolina Schmiedlova at the Hobart International.

What a start it has been to the 2019 WTA Tour for Sofia Kenin. The young tennis star climbed the rankings last year and has continued to prove herself in the first weeks of the season. After taking home a women’s doubles title alongside Canadian Eugenie Bouchard in Auckland, Kenin follows up that performance with her first ever WTA singles title.

Winning the Hobart International, Kenin was all smiles following her straight set finals victory over Slovakian tennis player Anna Karolina Schmiedlova. Kenin cruises to the title, winning the match 6-3 6-0.
