American women’s tennis is in need of a new generation of stars. With Serena Williams playing intermittently since giving birth, US tennis is wide open for the taking. That being said, Williams also continues to impress whenever she steps onto the court. But, her and sister Venus are the veterans. There is a new set of stars on the WTA Tour. Madison Keys and Sloane Stephens are among the top contenders. Last year at the US Open, Stephens took home her very first Grand Slam singles title, defeating Keys in the finals. The two were already strong players in women’s singles but proved that they have what it takes to be the best. Kenin, just 19-years-old, has some more to do before she can be discussed in conversation with Stephens and Keys. She is, however, doing a fantastic job in the matches she is playing this year.

Sofia Kenin looks to continue making headlines on the WTA Tour. She is easily one of the top players to watch in American women’s singles tennis right now.
