The other semifinals matchup in men’s singles at the Australian Open features a Next Generation star versus a legend of the sport.

Can anyone stop Rafael Nadal right now at the 2019 Australian Open? We wouldn’t bet against him but Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas is going to try his best. The Next Generation tennis star finds himself taking on another legend of the sport in Nadal next. Previously, he upset Roger Federer before taking down Roberto Bautista Agut in the quarterfinals.

Tsitsipas defeats Bautista Agut in four sets to advance. Rafa, on the other hand, knocks out the surging American Frances Tiafoe. He takes him out in straight sets and continues his unprecedented run at the Australian Open.

Nadal is still yet to drop a single set. Winning in fine fashion, Nadal goes 6-3 6-4 6-2 over the younger Tiafoe. We have not seen the last of the American though. He will be a top player on the ATP Tour all year long. As for the Nadal and Tsitsipas matchup, we have to favor the King of Clay. While he has just one men’s singles title at the Australian Open, a second could be right around the corner. We like Rafa in four sets at their semifinals meeting.
