French tennis star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is back with a win at the 2019 Open Sud de France. Can he keep it up throughout the rest of the year?

Former world number five Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is back in the winner’s circle following a title at the 2019 Open Sud de France. It has been two years since the French tennis veteran tasted victory in ATP singles. His red hot start to the ATP Tour this year signals a possible comeback.

Defeating fellow countryman Pierre-Hugues Herbert 6-4 6-2 in the Montpellier finals, Tsonga wins the men’s singles title there for the first time in his career. He is a former doubles champion at the event. The Tsonga win marks his first since Antwerp on the 2017 ATP Tour.
