Anderson isn’t the only veteran ATP star winning at the Miami Open though. One of the greatest the sport will ever see in Roger Federer is also in the winner’s circle.

Federer opened his tournament with a win over Radu Albot before defeating Filip Krajinović in straight sets. He goes up against the 13th seeded Daniil Medvedev in the round of 16 next.

Can either Anderson or Federer take the title at the 2019 Miami Open? There are easily at the top of a short list for the tournament’s top contenders. Defending champion John Isner remains alive.

Isner takes on British number one Kyle Edmund next in Miami. We make a prediction for their upcoming meeting here. Edmund is battling back from injury and the towering American tennis veteran is looking to both defend his title and capitalize on his recent 2019 success.

Edmund is among our TOP 10 YOUNG ATP TENNIS STARS TODAY but he is seeing a strong field of veteran stars in Isner, Federer, Anderson, and others in front of him. Anderson is the sixth seed in the men’s singles field at the Miami Open this year. The top seeded Novak Djokovic remains alive too. He goes up against a tough opponent in Roberto Bautista Agut next.
