2. Djokovic finishes as year-end number one

Another impressive year from Novak Djokovic saw him win a Wimbledon epic against Roger Federer after claiming the Australian Open at the start of the year.

The superb consistency of Nadal, along with a slight dip in form (at least by the Serbian’s high standards) towards the end of the year, saw the Spaniard claim a year-end number one trophy that even took him by surprise.

Federer, Nadal and Djokovic are all level on five year-end number one crowns.

We are backing Djokovic to end 2020 back at number one, having tied Pete Sampras’ record of six. That will almost certainly mean he has achieved further Grand Slam success in 2020.

3. Tsitsipas ends Big Three’s Grand Slam streak

The offseason debate has been endless, who will finally stop the Big Three’s Grand Slam run? Will it even come to an end?

Federer, Nadal and Djokovic all acknowledge they are coming under increasing pressure and while the likes of Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev have not been able to get it done in majors just yet, there is now another group of young stars coming up behind the Big Three, adding to the competition.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is our pick to end the Big Three’s sensational Grand Slam run by winning one of the majors in 2020.

4. Zverev makes a Grand Slam final

Zverev’s 2020 season got off to an inauspicious start as he lost despite being a set and a break up before falling to De Minaur at the ATP Cup.

His fans have been frustrated so far when it comes to results at Grand Slams with the German not going further than two quarterfinal appearances at the French Open and no better than the fourth round in the other three majors.

But Zverev is backed to end that frustration in 2020 and not only improve on his record, but reach his first Grand Slam final.
