The first half of fourth round matches are officially over at Roland Garros, as Sunday was the first day for players to book their tickets to the quarterfinals. On Monday, we will have the second half of players battling it out for the last four quarterfinal spots on both the men’s and women’s sides.

Two of the greatest players of all time will be in action on Monday, as Novak Djokovic and Rafa Nadal will take to the court on day nine. Both of them will be up against teenagers from Italy, as Djokovic will face 19-year-old Lorenzo Musetti, while Nadal will be up against Jannik Sinner at Roland Garros for the second year in a row.

Roger Federer was supposed to be in action on Monday as well but unfortunately withdrew from the tournament to prevent further injury to his knee. This means that there will only be three men’s singles matches on day nine, as Berrettini advances to the quarters without even stepping onto the court.

On the women’s side, defending champion Iga Swiatek and 2020 finalist Sofia Kenin will be playing their fourth-round matches on Monday, as Swiatek faces Marta Kostyuk, while Kenin will be up against 17-seed Maria Sakkari.

Monday will most certainly be filled with a ton of great matches, as all seven have the ability to be long, tight matches. Here are my predictions for day nine of the French Open.
