The men's matches for the 2025 French Open semifinals are best-case scenarios. No offense to Alexander Zverev, but likely the best four players on the ATP tour currently are playing in the semis. Tennis fans could not ask for much more.
Among the four is arguably the greatest player ever, Novak Djokovic, and three young players, two of whom already have multiple major titles. The other player might get his first in Paris.
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner might be the favorites to reach the final, but any player left can win the tournament. This means the semifinal clashes should be tennis treats.
How to watch (and who will win) the men's 2025 French Open semifinal matches
Lorenzo Musetti versus Carlos Alcaraz
During his run at the French Open, Musetti has moved well inside the top 10 in the ATP live rankings, and could move as high as No. 4. The 23-year-old is no fluke, though. He is one of a number of young Italian stars and will be competing for titles for years.
He probably won't get past Alcaraz, however. If the Spaniard is playing near his best on clay, he is the best men's player on the surface. Musetti might be able to steal a set off Alcaraz, but nothing more. The Spaniard is trying to win back-to-back French Open titles and his fifth overall. He is still only 22 years old.
Novak Djokovic versus Jannik Sinner
What a must-see match this is. Djokovic is 38 years old and trying to win his 25th Grand Slam. He is not as quick as he once was, but he isn't far off, and he still knows how to create shots like no other player in history. His four-set quarterfinal victory over Alexander Zverev proves that.
Sinner is the best overall player going now, though. He might not be as good as Alcaraz on clay, but he also cannot be counted out. He also hits with more pace than the Serb and moves better. Sinner will win this in four sets, setting up the final most people want: Sinner versus Alcaraz.
