17-year-old Mirra Andreeva has barely taken a breath since winning two WTA 1000 titles in Dubai and Indian Wells in 22 days. However, the WTA No. 6 found the time to splurge on an item for herself to celebrate those wins.

Andreeva's dad is in charge of her finances until her 18th birthday on April 29 so he had to buy it for her.

It was not extremely expensive, extravagant, or trendy, but it tells you a little bit about Mirra Andreeva.

What Mirra Andreeva bought

Mirra Andreeva told Daria Kastatkina that she wanted a specific set of Legos. When Kasatkina asked which ones, she pulled out her phone and showed her a photo of a Lego set of the Mona Lisa introduced in 2024.

Mirra Andreeva is not the only tennis player who likes Legos; Iga Swiatek is a fan, also. Though Kasatkina openly questioned where the rest of the money went, the purchase fits Andreeva's personality which is at times youthful, other times mature, and sophisticated but carefree.

Mirra Andreeva keeps winning

Andreeva breezed through her singles match and fought through a challenging doubles match so far at the Miami Open. She is playing doubles with frequent partner Diana Shnaider. The pair won Olympic silver medals in Paris last year.

She joked with Kasatkina about asking her dad for money for chips and a Coke, but winning the Sunshine Double must be on the top of her to-do list right now. She would like to add her name to the short list of players who have completed the feat, including Iga Swiatek in 2022, Victoria Azarenka in 2016, Kim Clijsters in 2005, and Steffi Graf in 1994 and 1996.

There is a lot more tennis to be played, and a fantastic Friday of women's action produced unlikely winners in Emma Raducanu, McCartney Kessler, and Alexander Eala, who upset seeded players Emma Navarro, Linda Noskova, and Jelena Ostapenko, respectively. Defending champion Danielle Collins and Grand Slam champions Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, and Madison Keys are still in the tournament.
