On March 13, Coco Gauff will turn 20 years old. That is hard to believe since it seems like she has been around professional tennis forever. The 2023 US Open champion is coming into her own and becoming the face of the sport.

She recently was named one of the Time Women of the Year. The award is a culmination of her off the court work ans well as her tennis successes. On March 5, Time had a gala in Los Angeles for the honorees which Gauff attended with her father Corey Gauff. (Note: the timing of the reception explains Gauff's absence from the Eisenhower Cup mixed doubles exhibition at Indian Wells though she did FaceTime Frances Tiafoe on the court.)

Gauff is educated and articulate on social issues and does not hesitate to use her voice and platform to help others. She is also very aware of those who came before and paved the way including her grandmother and Venus and Serena Williams. And she is just getting started both on the court and off.

Coco Gauff is also a Vogue cover model

In addition to the Time honor, Gauff graces the cover of the April issue of Vogue. Like most young women her age, she enjoys getting dressed up. She wears a glitzy golden dress on the cover and is photographed by Annie Leibovitz. Inside the magazine, Leibovitz has several photographs of Gauff incluing one where she isrunning in a white dress with feathers at the hem. It is an ethereal grown-up look that shows the world Gauff is leaving her teen years behind.

In the Vogue interview, Gauff describes the feeling of winning a Grand Slam addicting. She wants to feel that jubilation again and plans to spend the rest of her playing career trying to capture it and as many Grand Slams as possible.
