Super Bowl LIX takes place on Sunday, February 9, between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. Besides the players, many people might want to know if Taylor Swift is going to be in attendance to watch her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. *The guess here is she will.)
Other stars are going to be at the game as well. That seemingly includes Serena Williams, arguably the greatest women's tennis player ever. Heck, she is arguably the greatest player in the history of the sport, though Novak Djokovic might have a true say in who is really the best. Djokovic is not going to be at the Super Bowl, though.
We know that Williams is going to be at the game because she was on the field only a few hours before kickoff. What was she doing? She was running, of course. In fact, she posted on her Instagram page a video of her taking off in a slow run on the turf of the New Orleans Superdome only to turn that into a sprint at the end.
Serena Williams goes the full 100 yards at Super Bowl LIX
One cannot hold a real athlete back. Once one begins to run, it's only a matter of time before the competitive juices take over and one attempts to even beat their own selves.
She covered 100 yards in total and while that might not appear to be very much, one should go to their nearest high school football field and try to consistently run from end zone to end zone. It is not as easy as one might assume. Heck, even NFL players get a bit winded if they are going a full 100 yards.
As far as who Williams is pulling for in the Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Eagles, she did not say. Maybe she wants to remain legally an indifferent observer. After all, Serena and her sister, Venus, are part owners of the Miami Dolphins and neither tennis star probably wants it to look like they are tampering with players.
