Andre Agassi retired from the ATP Tour in 2006. Since then, he has been raising a family and doing philanthropic work in Las Vegas with his wife, Steffi Graf.

He also released his controversial 2009 autobiography called Open. It shared the tennis legend's love-hate relationship with the sport that made him an American icon.

In recent years, Agassi and Graf have emerged to play pickleball or exhibitions, and aside from a ten-month coaching stint of Novak Djokovic from 2017-2018, he has been largely unheard of until now.

Andre Agassi will be involved in the 2025 French Open

Agassi is adding to his workload of business and philanthropic ventures by rejoining tennis in two prominent roles.

The first is as a studio analyst and media personality during the 2025 French Open. Turner Broadcasting acquired the rights for Roland Garros, and 2025 is the first year that NBC will not show the Grand Slam tournament since 1975. Agassi joins the Turner team in a role fans have been accustomed to seeing his peers and former coaches (John McEnroe, Jim Courier, Darren Cahill, and Brad Gilbert) do on other networks.

His engaging personality and tennis knowledge make this decision by Turner Broadcasting a no-brainer. The French Open was the final Grand Slam he won in his Career Grand Slam. Agassi and his future wife, Graf, were crowned the 1999 French Open champions.

Andre Agassi is the Laver Cup Captain for Team World

Agassi is taking over Laver Cup captain duties from John McEnroe, who served as Team World's captain since 2017. In this role, he and newly appointed vice-captain Pat Rafter will manage Team World, which is 2-5 overall with back-to-back wins in 2022 and 2023.

Andre Agassi adds to the strong American presence for this year's Laver Cup, which will be held in San Francisco from September 19-21, 2025. This will be the third time the event has been held in the US (2018 Chicago and 2021 Boston). Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, and Ben Shelton are the American players slated to play the event.
