Carlos Alcaraz might be on the brink of dominating Wimbledon, the iconic grass-court Grand Slam, for many years. The 21-year-old has won the title in each of the last two years, and he is in peak form and ready to win his third straight. He would seem to be the heavy favorite for Wimbledon 2025.
On the ladies' side, the last two years have seen surprise winners. Oddly, both have come from Czechia. Markéta Vondroušová won in 2023, and Barbora Krejčíková won in 2024. Neither is a favorite in 2025, and yet, each is capable of winning the tournament again.
Or maybe this will be the year that WTA No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka finally breaks through and gets her first title at the grass-court major. She missed last year with an injury, and her previous bests at the event came when she reached the semifinals in 2021 and 2023.
