We are only a few days away from the beginning of Wimbledon 2025. If you are playing in the tournament, you probably need to get on an airplane about...right now. You can catch up on all this later (and thanks for reading!).
For the rest of us, just know that any player participating in the grass-court major could earn millions of dollars. Even if you bounce out in the first round, you will have enough to pay your coaches and plane fare.
But who is seeded where, and exactly how much money might someone earn? All that information is below. Let's just hope the weather holds up for the fortnight in London.
Wimbledon 2025 need to know: Prize money, seeds, schedule and lots of other things
If you are playing in the Wimbledon 2025 event (and good for you if you are), here is how much you can make in British pounds (just try really hard):
- Winner- 3,000,000 ($4,100,535)
- Runner-up - 1,520,000 ($2,077,604)
- Semifinalists - 775,000 ($1,059,256)
- Quarterfinalists - 400,000 ($546,713)
- Fourth round - 240,000 ($328,027)
- Third round - 152,000 ($207.749)
- Second round - 99,000 ($135,310)
- First round - 66,000 ($90,207)
That is obviously good money, and the pay scale is equal for both men and women. The great part is that while each winner has to earn it, Carlos Alcaraz is likely the heavy favorite to win on the men's side. The ladies' side is anyone's guess. That is fun.
Wimbledon 2025 draw and seeds
The draw for the grass-court major will be done on Friday, June 27. There are no real shocks to who the top ten seeds are because they are based on the rankings. In other words, the men's top-10 seeds look like this:
- 1. Jannik Sinner
- 2. Carlos Alcaraz
- 3. Alexander Zverev
- 4. Jack Draper
- 5. Taylor Fritz
- 6. Novak Djokovic
- 7. Lorenzo Musetti
- 8. Holger Rune
- 9. Daniil Medvedev
- 10. Ben Shelton
And the ladies' side will look like this:
- 1. Aryna Sabalenka
- 2. Coco Gauff
- 3. Jessica Pegula
- 4. Jasmine Paolini
- 5. Qinwen Zheng
- 6. Madison Keys
- 7. Mirra Andreeva
- 8. Iga Swiatek
- 9. Paula Badosa
- 10. Emma Navarro
Oddly, no woman currently ranked in the top 10 on the WTA tour has won Wimbledon, but the players ranked 11 (Elena Rybakina), 17 (Barbora Krejčíková), and 73 (Markéta Vondroušová) have. Those are the last three Wimbledon winners on the WTA side.

Wimbledon 2025 predictions
The guess here is that Alcaraz wins his third-straight title at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. If he stays healthy, it is difficult to imagine any other player defeating him in a five-set match. Jannik Sinner tried at the French Open, and we saw how that turned out.
The ladies' side is much more of a guess, and there could be a very unlikely winner, and from someone outside the top 10. The last two years have brought shock winners. The pick here is Jasmine Paolini, however, as she has shown she can be great on grass courts, and it would be wonderful for the jovial and positive-energy player to get a Grand Slam victory.
