Wawrinka has had an amazing start to 2015. He won titles in Chennai and Rotterdam and was only stopped by Djokovic at the Australian Open. The amount of matches played caught up to him in Marseille, but he took a couple weeks off and will be well-rested heading to Indian Wells.

Wawrinka has not had a lot of success at Indian Wells, with his best finish being in the quarters. He lost to Kevin Anderson in the round of 16 last year. In the past, he would face elite players in earlier rounds. His No.7 ranking will shield him from that a bit.
Wawrinka is the only player who has not been on a tennis court for over two weeks. The first round or two will be telling. Has the time off rejuvenated the Swiss No.2 or will he be rusty in his return? If Wawrinka gets back to the tennis he was playing down under, there are very few who can contend with him.
